COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A beauty salon in Cohoes is offering a helping hand to the families who lost everything in a fire on Tuesday. It happened at an apartment building on Johnston Avenue near the site of the former Saint Agnes School.One firefighter was sent to the hospital for multiple injuries. Shelly Wojchik is the owner of Shelly Cut & Style. She said she doesn't know anyone affected, but she said felt the need to help. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Missouri students and their families could soon be allowed to go to school outside the district they live in. A day after members spent two hours debating the open enrollment bill, the measure barely escaped the House, receiving just three more votes than needed to pass. The Colorado Rapids issued a full statement Wednesday condemning a homophobic chant clearly heard inside Dick’s Sporting Goods Park and on the national Apple TV broadcast in last Saturday’s home opener against Sporting Kansas City.“As a club that prides itself on its inclusive values and providing a safe and welcoming environment for all, we were incredibly disappointed to learn that the detestable ‘p-chant’ emerged during our game on Saturday. Another storm system is headed to Southern California this week, with threats of gusty winds, potential flooding and hazardous driving conditions.Showers will arrive beginning Thursday night and will stick around through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.In Los Angeles and Ventura counties, light to moderate rain is expected, with rainfall totals expected to hit between 0.75 to 1.5 inches.Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties will receive moderate to heavy rainfall during the storm with expected totals of 2-4 inches. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A man on the Bay Bridge reportedly experiencing mental health issues led to traffic being snarled as police worked to deescalate the issue, according to the California Highway Patrol. KRON4 video (above) showed a large traffic jam on San Francisco's Embarcadero. On the bridge, the eastbound lanes 1, 4 and 5 were blocked as a result of the activity. However, as of 4 p.m. Wednesday, the incident was cleared and all lanes have reopened, according to a tweet from CHP San Francisco.
